Heya. So I'm sure you know by now my quarrels with DeviantArt. Ever increasingly it's becoming a sentiment among other artists on the site that it's too much to handle. This is primarily due to the increasing prevalence of scammers, art thieves, AI images being passed off as genuine handcrafted art, annoying, presumptuous kids (and manchildren) being active in communities they shouldn't be in, and my favorite - the arbitrary and subjective enforcement of intentionally vaguely worded policies. Some of these overlap, since I've seen art thieves and request-heavy indecorous children on this site with a larger follower count than me. Since September, I've already been refraining from posting on the site too much nowadays, but I think it's time I actually stop posting here entirely. It's a shame that it had to come to this, seeing as DA is where I have the most eyes on my artwork (for better or worse), but the way I see it, it's just gonna get worse.
